Organized for the very first time by Le Petit Journal Auckland and the French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (FNZCCI), the People’s choice French Business Awards honour excellence and French "Art de Vivre". This award recognises the best French Bakery which operates in New Zealand.

Organisées pour la toute premiere fois par Le Petit Journal Auckland et la Chambre de Commerce Franco-Néo-Zélandaise (FNZCCI), les Trophées "Business Français de Nouvelle-Zélande" mettent a l'honneur l'excellence et l'art de vivre à la Française. Ce trophée récompense la meilleure boulangerie-pâtisserie française de Nouvelle-Zélande.

Meet Monsieur Macaron

Hi, I am Benjamin, creator of Monsieur Macaron in Hawkes Bay since 2015. We are dedicated on French Baking (croissant, pain au chocolat and all french viennoiserie) and macarons. I operated from a commercial kitchen dedicated to our french baking. We dont have a front shop, du to the fact opening a pure french patisserie in HB wont be sustainable (population, new baking for the community habits (less foodies than Auckland or Wellington area). However, we re collaborating with fews shop in town, and set up Home Delivering French Baking every Saturday, plus we are member at the Hawkes Bay Farmer Market in Hastings every Sunday since the last 4yers.

We are proudly french baking handcrafted to Hawkes Bay, making everything from scratch.

Du to our location and our size company, we are very focusing on quality and to respect the French How-Know and try to be as competitive on quality than bigger french bakery in NZ, specialty on quality macaron. Every single macaron sold have to be perfect, respecting the ‘ tant pour tant’ almond/icing sugar even if the price of the almond is expensive in NZ. This competition is firstly a great things for our job and dedication to represent the best of the french baking, but also can be a superbe promotion to Hawkes Bay, to our community, to an other way to eat more healthy to the young NZ generation and to our dedication to promote a truly french baking.

The winners will be officially announced in Auckland on 10 October at a black tie Parisian themed gala before the elite of the French business community and sponsors that include ACCOR, Bureau Veritas, Transdev, Vinci Construction, L’Oréal, BNP Paribas, Moet Hennessy, Pernod Ricard, March Construction, and New Zealand Services.
