The role : 

• The LFS is looking for a well-qualified Secondary teachers with experience to join our School, Pudong campus. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of teaching in a vibrant, popular school with a bilingual curriculum. Applicants should have the flexibility to adapt quickly to a new environment.

Main responsabilities : 

• Working closely with the staff on lesson planning.
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons according to the needs of the whole class, in accordance with the School's aims and objectives;
• Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of secondary-age pupils;
• Maintaining good order and discipline among the pupils;
• Liaising with both English and French Secondary colleagues to promote continuity of educational experience and learning;
• Establishing cordial relationships with colleagues to provide an effective and harmonious team;
• Carrying out any other duties which may be required by the Head of School.

Criteria for the post : 

• Knowledge and experience of teaching at Secondary School levels;
• An eagerness to understand and adopt the French Education system;
• A willingness to be involved in the wider life of the School.
• Energy, dynamism and stamina to contribute fully to the life of a busy co-educational multicultural independent non-profit school;
• A willingness to contribute to the extensive range of activities provided for pupils and to support them in their co-curricular pursuits.
• Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
