A Day of Festivities: Starting at Noon
On Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM get ready for an unforgettable day at The Church, Dublin.
The Church will be adorned in Blue, White, and Red for Bastille Day! French cuisine will be spotlighted with a special menu crafted by The Church's chef and the sale of essential cheese and sausage platters. A crepe stand will complete the menu for the gourmands! Fun activities such as face painting and colouring will ensure an entertaining day for families.
Bon Appetit Crepe Stand
The day will feature numerous musicians, dancers, and even a brass band from Nantes. Discover the Blyat Brass Style, a techno-brass band from Nantes specialising in hard bass. This group of 8 musicians will bring explosive energy with their electronic arrangements, promising to thrill participants.
DJ Night at Bastille Day
In the evening, DJs will take over, making participants dance to a selection of French and international hits, guaranteeing an electrifying atmosphere until the end of the night. Don't miss this unique opportunity to celebrate French culture in a warm and friendly atmosphere, right in the heart of Dublin!
A National Contest

The Film Program
Additionally, a special program of free French films runs from July 1 to 15 in Dublin, Galway and online. This initiative, presented by the French Embassy in association with Dublin City Council libraries, the National Gallery of Ireland, Galway libraries, and the Galway City Museum, is a unique opportunity to discover French cinema, language, and culture. The film selection includes contemporary works, many comedies, and explores various themes such as gastronomy, climate change, youth, equality, dance, and sport.
